Who Wants to Hire the Lion?

A better question would be "Who WOULDN'T want to hire the Lion?". Today we got a glimpse into the whirlwind life of what we imagine is probably one of Penn State's busiest and most motivated students.

William "Mike" El-Saleh is a senior majoring in marketing in the Smeal College of Business who also happens to be a very talented fencer on the men's varsity fencing team, the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Board, a member of the cheerleading team, and currently the Nittany Lion! (I know, we couldn't believe it either!) In between Mike's many obligations, he was nice enough to talk to us about how he ended up at Penn State, what it's like to be the Nittany Lion, and how he could really use the help of our amazing alumni network to find a job. So come on, alumni - who wouldn't want to hire the Lion?!

Greek Life at Penn State - It's Not What you Think

Today, on what was a spectacularly beautiful day on the University Park campus, we spent some time sitting on the grass near the IST building and talking with Vinnie Lizza, the current president of the IFC about what it's like to be Greek at Penn State. Vinnie shared a lot of information with us and just in time too - it's Greek Week at Penn State and you can still get in on the action!

Really Nice Congratulatory Article From Ragan.com

We recently won Best Podcast in the 2011 Ragan Employee Communications Awards, which is pretty cool but we were not expecting such a nice article! Thank you, Ragan, for explaining what we do better than we can explain it! It really is fun for us. We love meeting new people, listening to them, and learning about what they do everyday.

Everyone's famous in Ireland!

St. Patrick's Day is almost upon us and what better way to prepare than to talk to Jessica O'Hara, the advisor of Penn State's Irish Society! From Irish literature to study abroad, Penn State has a lot of opportunities for students interested in Ireland and Irish culture. It's not just about travel and literature though, these students participate in THON and march in the Homecoming Parade too! If you love your Irish heritage, this club might be perfect for you!

1st and Ten: An Interview with Bill O'Brien

We "Billieve" we were pretty lucky to have the chance to sit down with new Penn State football coach Bill O'Brien last week. Coach O'Brien is probably one of the busiest people on campus these days, but he was generous enough to invite us into his office to chat about what he's most looking forward to, what's impressed him the most so far about Penn State, and what Tom Brady's really like in person (that last question was Christina's...).

Your first glimpse at Coach O'Brien's team will be Blue/White weekend April 20-22. I hope you're looking forward to it as much as ... We Are!
